In brief
Your search text may be sent to Google for results and to Bing for suggestions. Opening a preview contacts the original media platform. Choosing Download opens Cobalt, a separate service. Those organisations apply their own privacy terms.
1. Scope
This policy covers information processed through Darkole-controlled pages. It does not govern Google, Microsoft/Bing, Cobalt, video providers, advertisers, hosting companies or other linked services. Their own privacy notices apply when your browser connects to them.
2. Information that may be processed
Search and pasted URLs
Darkole processes the words or URL you enter to decide whether to open a search page or a supported preview. A normal search is included in the results-page address and sent to the relevant search services.
Technical logs
Like most websites, Darkole's hosting infrastructure may create security and access logs containing information such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser or device information, referrer and error data. These logs may be used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the site.
Messages you send
If you contact Darkole, the message, email address and information you choose to provide may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to answer, keep appropriate records, prevent abuse or handle a legal request.

5. Why information is used
- to provide searches, suggestions, previews and requested navigation;
- to secure the service and investigate misuse;
- to diagnose errors and maintain performance;
- to respond to messages, rights requests and legal obligations; and
- to understand site operation using aggregated or limited technical information where available.
6. Retention and security
Darkole keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described, including operational, security and legal record-keeping needs. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Third-party services decide their own retention and security practices.
7. Your choices and rights
You can avoid autocomplete by not selecting suggestions, avoid provider connections by not opening previews, and avoid Cobalt by not selecting Download. Browser privacy controls may restrict cookies or scripts, although features may then fail.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. Send a clear request using the address on the Contact page. Darkole can act only on information it controls; contact the relevant third party about information held by that service.
8. Children
Darkole is a general-audience search tool and is not directed at children. Do not send personal information about a child through the contact address unless necessary for a lawful safeguarding or rights request.

This policy may change as the service or its providers change. The date above identifies the current version. Privacy questions can be sent through the Contact page.
