Copyright and removal

Send the request to the service that controls the content.

Darkole does not host source videos. The correct removal route depends on whether your concern is the original upload, a search listing, an embed, the download service or a Darkole-controlled page.

Darkole does not host the video

Videos remain on their respective websites, such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Vimeo. Darkole previews supported links using the provider's player, embed URL or documented embed method. Removing or restricting the source is the most effective way to stop access to it.

Where should you send a request?

The original video or postContact the platform that hosts the upload and use its copyright, privacy, safety or legal reporting process. Only that platform or uploader can remove or restrict the source media.
A Google search resultUse Google's legal removal request process. Darkole does not control Google's index.
A Bing suggestionContact Microsoft/Bing through its support or legal reporting channels. Darkole does not create Bing's suggested phrases.
A Cobalt download actionContact Cobalt or the operator of the Cobalt instance. Darkole does not own or control that third-party service and does not receive or store its output.
A Darkole-controlled page or linkSend a sufficiently detailed request to the address on the Contact page.

Hosting and embeds

An embedded player does not transfer the source file to Darkole. When a user opens a supported preview, the original platform supplies the player and media to the user's browser. Darkole does not upload, mirror, cache for distribution or claim ownership of that media.

If the hosting platform deletes the upload, disables embedding, makes it private or otherwise withdraws access, the preview should cease working, although search-engine caches and indexes may take time to update.

Request concerning Darkole

If your complaint concerns something Darkole itself controls, include:

  • your full name and a reliable contact address;
  • the exact Darkole URL concerned;
  • the original provider URL, if applicable;
  • a clear description of the protected work or right involved;
  • where the complained-of material appears and what action you request;
  • an explanation of your authority to act for the rights holder;
  • a good-faith statement that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or law; and
  • a statement that the information supplied is accurate, plus your typed or electronic signature.

Darkole may ask for clarification, forward an appropriate request to a relevant service provider, restrict a Darkole-controlled link, or decline requests that are incomplete, fraudulent or concern material Darkole cannot control.

Important limits

Contacting Darkole does not remove the original upload, delete third-party copies, change Google or Bing indexes, or control Cobalt. You should contact each service that controls the material or listing at issue.

Do not make knowingly false claims. If you are uncertain whether content infringes your rights or an exception applies, consider obtaining independent legal advice before sending a formal notice.
